Firm Overview

Whitebook Capital is a New York based investment manager pursuing a wide array of private equity and real estate investments.

Our private equity investments are primarily made in businesses with strong fundamentals and sound balance sheets seeking capital to expand current operations. As part of our investment in an operating company, we seek to obtain control over management and implement a long-term growth strategy in an effort to increase the underlying profitability of such operating company.

Our real estate investments target a variety of opportunities across market cycles primarily in New York City, a market with a highly developed infrastructure, multiple barriers to entry and sophisticated participants including multi-family, office, retail, and light industrial. Whitebook also selectively invests in real estate debt instruments that have the potential to generate equity-like returns, including preferred equity instruments, high yield bridge and mezzanine loans, and B-notes.

Whitebook Capital’s methodology is to create opportunities for our investors and diligently invest in a wide variety of innovative firms and high-quality real estate ventures and strives to exceed standards set by the industry and the investment community.

For the security and diversification of our portfolio in ever changing market conditions, every potential acquisition is reviewed with a human approach rather than basing investment decisions solely on general market mechanics, ultimately preserving and growing investor’s capital.

Whitebook Capital understands that a strong portfolio is built on trusted relationships, by knowing the target markets, and to strategically invest into well-researched investment opportunities at a time and in a manner calculated to increase returns within the anticipated time frames. A key factor for success is having a broad network of institutional and local owners, investors, lenders, brokers and joint-venture partners who provide ongoing access to off-market deal flow.

An active and entrepreneurial culture allows the firm to adapt as market cycles shift, keeping an eye towards new opportunities to create value within our portfolio.
